Class Descriptions
Pre-Ballet (Ages 3-5) Pre-Ballet (Ages 3-5)
This class is designed for the young dancer as a way to introduce them to the basics of ballet. Fundamental ballet vocabulary is taught as well as creative movement exercises across the floor. Pre-Ballet is a class for cultivating body awareness and a love for music and dance in a caring environment.
Ballet Ballet
Younger ballet classes emphasize correct positioning of the feet, building strength through barre and floor exercises and proper body alignment. This technique advances through our ballet classes continuing through levels I-VI. Once students have shown appropriate strength and development, PrePointe and Pointe work is then introduced beginning at the IV/V level. Ballet Classes begin for those 6 yrs.old
Jazz Jazz
Classes cover the basic elements of jazz dance including a warm-up and floor exercises with turns, jumps, and footwork. Classes end with fun dance combinations. Classes offered in two levels Beginning Jazz for ages 7-12 and Int/Adv for teens & adults.
Hip-Hop Hip-Hop
A fun and animated class with exhilarating music and moves to match the beat. The class begins with a warm-up and continues into dance combinations. Beginning Hip-Hop for ages 8-12, Beginning Hip-Hop for teens & adults, and Intermediate/Advanced Hip-Hop for teens & adults.
Modern/Lyrical Modern/Lyrical
Class work revolves around deepening body awareness, level changes, and different uses of energy in movement. Floor work includes stretching, strengthening, and various elements of ballet and jazz.
Teen/Adult Ballet Teen/Adult Ballet
Whether interested in revisiting a previous dance experience or starting fresh, there is a place for you in our Beginning and Adult ballet classes. The importance of body alignment and increasing flexibility and body strength are main focuses through traditional barre and center exercises. Ballet Conditioning classes are offered in levels I-III for Teens and Adults.
Combo Classes (Ages 5-7) Combo Classes (Ages 5-7)
Dancers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with multiple forms of dance. Class time is shared between these different styles giving students the opportunity to develop an essential attention to rhythm, coordination, and music. Combination Classes offered: Ballet-Tap, Ballet-Tap-Jazz.

Classes begin on Saturday September 10, 2011 and go through June 2012.  We have a separate summer dance program.
Enrollment is accepted throughout the year.

2011 Fall Schedule:  Classes will begin September 10th, 2011 and go through June 2012.  Registration available all year!  Please call for pricing information.

Parent Involvement

Giving our students the opportunity to perform is important to us. The love and support of family is also vital to creating a healthy studio atmosphere.

Big T-Shirts or Sweatshirts Are NOT Allowed in Ballet or Jazz Classes
Absolutely NO jeans allowed in class.
